Dollarisation of deposits fell by 2 percent in the first four months of this year to 48.7 percent from 50.8 percent a year ago, the Central Bank said.

Bank deposits of individuals in manats increased by 2.1 percent to 8.353 billion manats ($4.914 billion), while deposits in foreign currency decreased by 2 percent to 4.068 billion manats.

The total amount of deposits rose by 2.3 percent from the beginning of 2021 to 24.213 billion manats.

The amount of bank deposits of residents reached 8.075 billion manats and non-residents – to 278.4 million manats as of May 1, 2021.
