Belarus will restrict the import of poultry from Lithuania due to bird flu, BelTA reported, citing the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety of the European Commission and the World Organization for Animal Health, cases of highly pathogenic influenza in birds have been registered in Lithuania. In this regard, from June 10, temporary restrictions are introduced on the import of live poultry, incubation and edible eggs, poultry meat, egg powder, melange, albumin and other processed foods of chicken eggs, down and feathers, not subjected to disinfection of hunting, to Belarus from this country. trophies (game birds), other products.
All previously issued permits for the import of these goods to Belarus from Lithuania are suspended.
