In the five months of the year, the volume of agricultural production amounted to 2 billion 245.5 million manats which is up 2.9% from a year earlier, according to the State Statistics Committee report, TURAN reported.

This year, spring crops have been sown on 387.400 hectares (+0.3%). As of June 1, figures for potatoes made up 183.200 tons (-6.6%), vegetables – 317.600 tons (+10.5%), green tea leaves – 485.200 tons (+23.8%), fruits and berries – 22.600 tons (+9.3%). The rise in crop production made up 5.2%.
