Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover reaches $18.01 billion in first half
Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover rose by $2.15 billion year-on-year to $18.01 billion in January-June, the State Statistics Committee said.
Exports amounted to $7.05 billion, 12.3 percent up from January-June 2020, imports rose by 14.3 percent to $10.96 billion. The trade deficit amounted to $3.9 billion.
The largest volume of foreign trade turnover was recorded in May 2021 totalling $4.25 billion. In June 2021, the foreign trade turnover amounted to $3.44 billion, falling by 15 percent year-on-year.
Among the 20 large trade partners, Uzbekistan has a positive trade balance with Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Canada and Iran.
