In January-May 2021, Kazakhstan’s trade with Central Asian countries reached $ 2.3 billion – 34.7% more than a year earlier. The share of CA countries in foreign trade increased from 4.7% to 6.3%, KAPITAL reported, citing finprom.kz.
Almost two-thirds of all trade with the Central Asian countries falls on Uzbekistan: $ 1.5 billion, plus 46% per year. The share of Uzbekistan in the structure of the total trade turnover of the Republic of Kazakhstan amounted to 4.1%.
This is followed by Tajikistan ($ 426.1 million, plus 22.9%) and Kyrgyzstan ($ 328.7 million, plus 8.2%).
Trade between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan reached $ 74.6 million, which is 49% more than a year earlier.
