The Cabinet of Ministers transferred six state-owned heat generating enterprises to manage the State Property Fund to Naftogaz Ukrainy .
According to an UNIAN correspondent, this was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal in his introductory speech during a government meeting.
“This will allow taking measures to ensure that the relevant CHPs are provided with everything necessary before the start of the heating season,” he said.
As stated in the explanatory note to the resolution, the decision concerns state stakes in Dniprovska CHP, Mykolayiv CHP, Kryvyi Rih Heating Plant, Kherson CHP and Odessa CHP, as well as the only property complex of the state enterprise Severodonetsk Thermal Power Plant.
The Prime Minister also addressed the local authorities on the territory of which these enterprises are located. According to him, if local budgets can ensure the operation of these CHPs on their own, the government can transfer them to the local, not Naftogaz.
In addition, the government by this decision excluded these enterprises from the list of objects of large-scale privatization.
