The leader of the “Turan” party Zhenish Moldokmatov ended his hunger strike. The information was confirmed by his assistant Erlan Bochkoro uulu.
It is clarified that he also underwent a medical examination at the National Center for Cardiology. According to the press service of the Ombudsman, during the hunger strike Zhenish Moldokmatov’s health deteriorated, doctors diagnosed him with heart disease. Now the accused was again placed in the IVS, tomorrow the examination will be continued.
Zhenish Moldokmatov does not admit his guilt and earlier said that he was on a hunger strike in protest. He was handed a notice of suspicion of committing a crime under article 264 “Organization of mass riots” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On October 5-6, 2020, rallies were held to protest the falsification of the parliamentary election results. Then riots broke out. On October 6, the CEC was forced to annul the election results. Several convicted politicians were released from the colonies.
