President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that “very soon” another person could replace him as president of the republic.
“I have grown into this country, it has grown into me. And I don’t understand how you can live: retire or do some other business – I don’t imagine that yet. This doesn’t mean that I have grabbed and will hold on with my blue fingers. for this chair. No. After me people will come, even very soon. Only you do not worry there in your midst [on the timing], “Lukashenko said on Monday at a meeting with journalists and members of the public, answering the question of who will become president Belarus after him.
“There is no need to guess when Lukashenka will leave, and so on. Very soon,” he added.
The President of Belarus believes that the political upheavals that the country faced a year ago showed that there are currently about 15-20 people who are worthy to lead the country.
“They are all in full view of who can be the president,” he said. “These days they showed me, people have crystallized. It turns out that we have 15-20 people who can grow up to the presidency.”
At the same time, Lukashenka noted that they are all “somewhat similar” to him.
