The press secretary of the head of state, Berik Uali, commented on the investigation into the offshore companies of the family of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as part of the Credit Suisse Secrets project. He stated that Tokayev does not have accounts abroad and does not own foreign real estate, like his ex-wife.
“The head of state, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, does not have Swiss bank accounts, which some media began to write about. The President does not own accounts in foreign banks, offshore companies, he does not own foreign real estate. The ex-wife of Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich never owned the accounts indicated in the publication,” Uali wrote on Facebook.
As for the president’s son, Timur Tokayev, the press secretary noted that he is 38 years old, he is engaged in entrepreneurship and has never worked in the civil service.
