Today, with the participation of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the opening of the international airport in Fizuli took place.
The heads of state together cut the red ribbon in front of the airport, which became the first air harbor built in the territories liberated from the Armenian occupation.
Aliyev and Erdogan demonstrated the symbolic keys of the “air gates” of Karabakh.
The international airport in Fizuli was built in record time – 8 months. The first passenger and cargo test flights took place from Baku on 5 September. The airport was awarded international status. The airport has a runway 3000 meters long and 60 meters wide. The platform area is 60 thousand square meters, it is designed for the parking of 8 aircraft.
