The mission of the CSTO peacekeeping forces in Kazakhstan has been successfully completed, all peacekeepers have left the country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense said.
“Currently, the mission of the CSTO peacekeeping forces initiated by the Republic of Kazakhstan has been successfully completed,” Alexander Sinyagovsky, director of the Eurasian Integration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, said on Wednesday during a briefing at the Central Communications Service.
He recalled that on January 13, a phased withdrawal of the CSTO united peacekeeping contingent began. All the peacekeepers who arrived in the country, he stressed, “having successfully completed the mission, return to their countries.”
