According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, the head of the National Center for Disease Control, the third wave of coronavirus has started in Georgia, Report said.
Gamkrelidze stated about it at the briefing held at the National Center for Disease Control, the news organisation said.
“The epidemic situation in the world, in Europe, and here as well is gradually getting worse. As you know, the third wave of coronavirus has started in many countries. We can say that the third wave of the coronavirus has started in Georgia too,”Amiran Gamkrelidze said, according to Report.
There are 359 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Georgia in the last 24 hours. A total of 288 755 cases of infection have been reported in the country.
