Citing security risks, the Armenian government plans to restrict the publication of certain personal and state data stemming from last year’s Karabakh war it deems sensitive, arguing that such information might be used in economic and political analyses detrimental to the state, HETQ reported.
The draft decision proposes to remove information from its e-gov.am website that deals with mining companies (their names, permits, contracts, places of operation), considering such data “risky”.
Information on foreign business trips of state employees will also be restricted on the govtravel.am website given potential cyber risks. The focus will be on flight information regarding employees of state security agencies.
Information on government procurements from single individuals will also be removed from the e-gov.am website.
