In June 2021, 222 containers carrying 5,994 tonnes of cargo were carried from Azerbaijan to Turkey and back, ADY Container, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways, said.

Freightage is transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, which runs on the territories of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.

The company said that 82 containers carrying 2,214 tonnes of cargo were transported from Azerbaijan to Turkey. 72 containers were 45-foot, while ten were 20-foot.

It said that 3,780 tonnes of cargo in 140 containers were transported from Turkey to Azerbaijan last month. 118 of these containers were 20-foot, 22 containers – 45-foot.
