The nominal gross average wage of workers in Belarus amounted to Br1478.9 in October, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.
In September, the average salary of employees was Br1442.7, in August – Br1463.2. It should be borne in mind that the data are given before income tax (13%) and mandatory insurance contributions to the Social Security Fund (1% of employees’ salaries).
In terms of regions, the capital is traditionally the leader: the average salary of Minsk residents in October was Br2059.6 (the growth rate of real wages by October last year was 102.4%). In the Minsk region, it amounted to Br1475.6 (102.5%), Gomel – Br1335 (106.7%), Grodno – Br1281.1 (104%), Brest – Br1273.7 (104.7%), Vitebsk – Br1244 , 1 (105.2%), Mogilev – Br1203.7 (104.1%).
In the country as a whole, real wages (calculated taking into account the growth of consumer prices for goods and services) in January-October compared to the corresponding period of 2020 increased by 4.8%.
Workers in the IT and information services sector (Br5598), financial services and insurance ancillary (Br3641.3), passenger air transport (Br3497.1) and air freight (Br2427) received the highest gains. , 9), mining (Br2731.7), production of coke and petroleum products (Br2372.8), production of chemical products (Br2282.1), engineering design and technical consulting in this area (Br2232.5), activities in the field of telecommunications (Br2216.2), research and development in the field of technical sciences (Br2173.9).
