Azerbaijan Airlines considers purchase of new generation aircraft
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), the country’s flagman air company, considers the purchase of up to 20 new generation aircraft, Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo, as well as new Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
The company plans to renew its aircraft fleet by 2030.
Jahangir Asgarov, AZAL president, met senior officials from Airbus and Boeing and reached preliminary agreements on acquiring new aircraft.
AZAL currently operates Boeing 787-8, Boeing 767, Boeing 757, Airbus 340, Airbus 320, Airbus 319 and Embraer 190 aircraft.
