Azerbaijan’s central bank said its foreign currency reserves grew to $7.073 billion as of January 1 this year from $6.369 billion a year ago.

The rise was mainly due to the receipt of the International Monetary Fund’s funds in the amount of 375.4 million SDR ($0.53 billion), the bank said.

In December alone, reserves declined by $0.002 billion.
