Azerbaijan exported 60,000 tonnes of ferrous metallurgy products in January-May 2021, up from 26,900 tonnes in the first five months of the last year, a source at the State Customs Committee told the Tribune.

Export revenue exceeded $39.6 million, up from $19.5 million.

In 2020, Azerbaijan exported 81,900 tonnes of ferrous metallurgy products for $52.3 million.

These products are included in Azerbaijan’s non-oil industry’s top-10 exports.

Enterprises for the refining of iron ore, iron and steel smelting in Azerbaijan are located in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja and Gazakh.
