Azerbaijan has reduced gold production by 3.5 percent year-on-year to 3,877 tonnes in the first 10 months of the year,  the State Statistics Committee said.

Production of silver rose by 8.6 percent to 3.96 tonnes.

There are two gold mining companies in Azerbaijan – state-owned AzerGold and London-listed Anglo-Asian Mining Company PLC. They have reserves of over 213 kg of gold and over 244 kg of silver, as of November 1, 2021, the committee said.
