Azerbaijan’s Central Bank reports net profit of $26.8 mln in 2020
Azerbaijan’s Central Bank reported a net profit of 45.525 million manats ($26.8 million) in 2020, 31 percent less than in 2019.
The bank’s assets rose by 12.7 percent last year to 25.486 billion manats, while liabilities rose by 19 percent to 23.864 billion manats.
The share of cash in the bank’s assets amounted to 5.615 billion manats. The Central Bank’s liabilities to credit institutions increased by 17.7 percent year-on-year and, amounting to 3.205 billion manats.
Debt securities totaled 18.580 billion manats in 2020, 6.2 percent rise in comparison with 2019.
The bank’s loan portfolio rose by 47.4 remained unchanged at 500 million manats in 2020.
