Twenty insurance companies of Azerbaijan collected over 528.3 million manats ($310.8 million) in premiums in January-July, 11.7 percent up from the same period last year, the Central Bank said.

The payments made by insurance companies during the first seven months amounted to 301.2 million manats, 32.6 percent more than a year earlier.
