Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports rise 16% yr/yr to $502 mln in first quarter
Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports rose 16.4 percent year-on-year to $501.6 million in the first quarter of 2021, Mikayil Jabbarov, economy minister, said.
“This is an indicator of the sustainability of Azerbaijani economy, even during the pandemic,” the minister wrote on Twitter.
In 2020 non-oil gross domestic product (GDP) declined 2.6 percent year-on-year to 50.793 billion manats ($29.9 billion). Non-oil exports’ share in total exports of the oil-rich country stands at 8-10 percent.
