Baku’s official representative in Nagorno-Karabakh and Arayik Harutyunyan, the head of the region’s separatist administration, met on February 12 in a meeting brokered by Russian peacekeeping forces.
The head of the Karabakh Security Service Armen Abazyan also attended the meeting, which was organised through the mediation of Russia’s General Rustam Muradov, according to a source who spoke on condition of anonymity.
The location of the meeting, the first between the separatist leader and the Baku government, and the name of Baku’s representative weren’t disclosed.
They discussed the return of prisoners, the search for missing persons, and other humanitarian issues. The Baku government has not yet officially confirmed the meeting took place.
