Belarus counts on Russia’s support in the face of increased pressure from the West. This was stated by Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko during a meeting with Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, BelTA reported.
“The events of recent days indicate the increased pressure of Western countries on Belarus. Contrary to international rules and norms, despite the readiness of the Belarusian side immediately expressed by the Belarusian side for an impartial and full investigation of the international incident with the Ryanair landing at the Minsk National Airport,
Once restrictions were imposed on Belavia’s flights to European countries and recommendations were given to European carriers to avoid flights through the territory of Belarus. A glaring incident happened yesterday with the Minsk-Barcelona flight: information was received about the closure of the French airspace, and the plane was forced to return to Minsk. Such measures will have economic implications for our country. In such a situation, we, of course, count on the support of our closest ally – the Russian Federation, “said Roman Golovchenko.
