In addition, additional benefits are introduced in the form of exemption of legal entities from paying value added tax when importing electric vehicles to the territory of Belarus and selling them, as well as organizations – manufacturers of electric vehicles when importing auto components for them.
The document was adopted in order to increase the use of electric vehicles and develop a charging infrastructure for them.
As reported, the possibilities for expanding the use of electric transport in Belarus were discussed, among other issues, at the meeting of the President with the leadership of the Council of Ministers on October 22.
The head of state emphasized that this is one of the most promising areas: “World practice shows that the course for the development and advanced implementation of infrastructure for it (electric transport. – BelTA note) has turned out to be correct. Today, almost all countries are going this way. This is an urgent need. and for us – both from the standpoint of the lack of sufficient volumes of our own oil, and taking into account the launch of the Belarusian NPP. ”
