On March 30, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus announced that changes had been made to the rules for paying utility bills. They concern those who left the country and do not pay taxes in it.
The Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated March 25, 2022 No. No. 166 “On changing the resolutions of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus”.
Thus, the government decided to expand the list of people who must pay for housing and communal services with full reimbursement of the costs of their provision.
Non-working people (the so-called “parasites”) were added to it – homeowners who left Belarus from March 1, 2022 for more than 30 days. An exception is only for those who went for treatment (relevant documents are needed).
