Belarus’s external debt declines 1.6% to $17.9 bln as of February 1
Belarus’s external public debt declined by 1.6 percent month-on-month and amounted to $17.9 billion as of February 1, the Finance Ministry said.
In January, external state loans were attracted in the amount equivalent to $65.3 million, the repayment of external state debt amounted to $271.9 million.
The country’s state debt amounted to 58.9 billion rubles as of February 1, 1.1 percent up from the beginning of 2022.
Domestic public debt rose by 1.6 percent in January to 12 billion rubles.
In 2021, the country’s external debt amounted to $18.2 billion.
