Belarus’s external public debt declined by 1.8 percent from the beginning of the year and amounted to $18.2 billion as of October 1, the Finance Ministry said.
The government attracted external loans in an amount of $1.036 billion in January-September, including $836 million – from Russia, $155.3 million – from the IBRD, $20 million – from the OPEC Fund for International Development, $14.9 million – from the Export-Import Bank of China, $9.7 million – from the EBRD and NIB.
Repayment of external public debt in January-September 2021 amounted to $1.381 billion.
The country’s state debt amounted to 57.1 billion rubles ($23.5 billion) as of October 1, while domestic public debt amounted to 11.3 billion rubles.
