The National Competition Development Project stipulates that by 2025 20% of the produced gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel and bitumen will be sold through commodity exchanges, Turan reported, citing reports by the Government of Kazakhstan.
Currently, 10% of the produced gasoline and bitumen is sold through commodity exchanges. According to the project, from 2022 it is planned to bring this figure to 12%, from 2023 – up to 15%, from 2024 – up to 18%, from 2025 – up to 20%.
The same indicators are prescribed for diesel fuel and aviation kerosene.
In 2022, it is planned to sell 100% of the produced liquefied petroleum gas through commodity exchanges, Kapital.kz reports.
At present, the volume of oil products produced in Kazakhstan fully covers the volume of consumption.
