Construction of the North-South Alternate Road Corridor phase II has been completed. The section runs from the village of Aral in Jumgal district to Kazarman village of Toguz-Toro district.
The asphalt has been paved along the entire length of the section, which stretches around 100 km. The opening ceremony of the section took place on November 10 with the participation of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov and the Ambassador of China Du Dewen.
The second phase included construction of a road in the mountains where no roads existed before – in the Kabak gorge along the Naryn and Kokomeren rivers. Two flyover bridges were built across the Naryn river as part of the phase 2, the length of the first bridge is 1,076 meters, the length of a second one is 396 meters.
