Elon Musk’s SpaceX considers Georgia as pilot country in satellite Internet project
Elon Musk’s SpaceX is considering ex-Soviet Georgia to be one of the first pilot countries where the company will provide satellite internet, the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) said.
“SpaceX has shown interest in the internetisation process of Georgia. It is considering the involvement of Georgia and the Georgian people in its future plans,” GITA said in a press release.
GITA said that as a result of the negotiations between Georgian officials and SpaceX authorities, the U.S. company would soon start the official procedure for obtaining an Internet service provider license in Georgia.
