Ermek Sagimbayev was appointed head of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The corresponding decree was signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the press service of Akorda reports.
“To appoint Sagimbayev Ermek Aldabergenovich as the head of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the decree says.
Recall that in July this year, by decree of the head of state, Kalmukhanbet Kasymov was relieved of his post as head of the State Security Service. The duties of the head of the Service were temporarily assigned to Ermek Sagimbayev.
“Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev expressed gratitude to Kalmukhanbet Nurmukhanbetovich Kasymov for his many years of work in law enforcement agencies and as the head of the State Security Service. The duties of the head of the Service have been temporarily assigned to Ermek Sagimbayev,” then the press secretary of the President Berik Uali wrote on Facebook.
