FDI in Azerbaijan’s economy rise to $1.4 bln in Q1-Central Bank
Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Azerbaijan’s economy rose to $1.4 billion in the first quarter of 2021 from $1.2 billion in January-March 2020, the Central Bank said.
According to the bank, 89.2 percent of FDI was invested in the oil and gas sector.
The amount of FDI in the non-oil sector amounted to $151.5 million in January-March 2021, down 36.1 percent from the same period last year.
FDI was $4.53 billion in 2020.
