Recently, the so-called “analyst” Anwar Nazir published a note on social networks that the Taliban movement allegedly excluded the study of the Uzbek language in Afghanistan from the school curriculum.
Proceeding from this, the said person concludes that the study of the legacy of Amir Temur, Shaybanikhan, Boborahim Mashrab, Mahmud Ghaznevi, Abu Raikhan Beruni, as well as the study of Navoi are prohibited by the Taliban in Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that during the conversation of the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the official leadership of the Taliban Movement, the above information was denied by the Afghan side as untrue.
The Taliban representative confirmed that the Uzbek language, along with the Pashto and Dari languages, will continue to remain one of the official languages of Afghanistan.
