Gazprom Export sent a notification to Bulgargaz (Bulgaria) and PGNiG (Poland) to suspend gas supplies from April 27 until the moment the fuel is paid in rubles, according to the Russian company’s Telegram channel. The exporter reminds that consumers were promptly notified about the change in the payment scheme.
As of the end of the business day on April 26, Gazprom Export had not received payments for gas supplies in April from Bulgargaz (Bulgaria) and PGNiG (Poland) in rubles. <…> Payments for gas supplied from April 1 must be made in rubles using the new details, about which the counterparties were informed in a timely manner, the message says.
The company added that Bulgaria and Poland are transit states and if there is an unauthorized withdrawal of Russian gas from pumped volumes to third countries, supplies will be reduced by this volume.
