Gold production in Azerbaijan fell by 0.8 percent year-on-year to 1,145 kg in January-May, the State Statistics Committee said.

Gold mining companies -AzerGold and London-listed Anglo-Asian Mining Company PLC have reserves of around 320 kg as of June 1, 2021, the committee said.

In January-April, 1,651 kg of gold worth $64.6 million were exported to Switzerland for refining up from 856 kg worth $43.7 million exported in the same period last year.
