Greece plans to strengthen investment ties with Turkmenistan over the next years, Turkmenportal reported, citing Trend reports with reference to the Greek Foreign Ministry.
At the same time, Greece will continue to explore ways to further diversify bilateral trade, counting on closer cooperation with Turkmenistan in specific trade and economic areas.
The ministry notes that the main areas of interaction can be energy, construction, agricultural and food products, information technology and textiles.
Greek companies possessing know-how in the field of infrastructure construction, energy and mineral oil processing are open for partnerships with Turkmen companies, the Greek Foreign Ministry said.
The Foreign Ministry stressed that Greece supports and highly appreciates the policy of neutrality of Turkmenistan in the context of promoting stability, security and good-neighborly relations in Central Asia. The country has maintained friendly diplomatic relations with Turkmenistan since 1992.
