The mother of Gulbiddin Ziyobekov, who was killed during a special operation by security officials in the Roshtkala region of GBAO, intends to achieve a meeting with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

Pevistamo Abdulmuminova on December 1, in an interview with Radio Ozodi, said that the GBAO authorities did not consider her application, and therefore she decided to appeal to the president.

Recall that it was the murder of 29-year-old Gulbiddin Ziyobekov that caused discontent among the residents of Khorog and became the reason for the four-day rally. The protesters demanded to find and punish those responsible for his death.

Gulbiddin Ziyobekov was killed on the morning of November 25 in the village of Tavdem, Roshtkala region. The GBAO prosecutor’s office said that Ziyobekov was wanted on charges of taking hostages and inciting ethnic hatred.
