Azerbaijan has filed a lawsuit against Armenia with the International Court of Justice in order to bring it to justice for systematic violations of the “International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination”. This is stated on the website of the International Court of Justice.

The lawsuit states that Armenia has participated and continues to participate in discriminatory actions against Azerbaijanis on the basis of their national or ethnic origin.

“The policy and behavior of Armenia in relation to ethnic cleansing, incitement to hatred of Azerbaijanis are systematic in nature and are a violation of the relevant UN convention,” the lawsuit says.

Armenia is responsible for the violation of the convention and must compensate for the damage caused to Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani people.
