In Turkmenistan, for two days (April 11-12), the Internet practically did not work. Such data was published by the Cloudflare Radar website. Now, judging by the data provided, traffic from the country has grown, but still remains unstable.
The “almost complete” blocking of the Internet is also reported by Turkmen news and Radio Azatlyk, citing their sources .
According to Azatlyk, almost all previously working paid VPN services have been blocked.
Turkmen news writes that it is not individual IP addresses that are blocked in Turkmenistan, but entire subnets. In this regard, the world’s largest companies providing hosting services became unavailable in the country: Vultr, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Microsoft Azure, Amazon, OVH, OneProvider.
In January, all previously working VPN and proxy servers, as well as many websites and Internet services, were blocked in Turkmenistan for one day.
