Director of the Cultural Heritage Agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports Shakhriyar Nurulloev met with the First Deputy Director of the Representative Office of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Uzbekistan Yoshimas Takemura.

The meeting was organized in order to ensure the implementation of the instructions determined by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 28, 2019 No. PP-4553 “on measures to further expand and strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Japan”, in particular, in order to preserve and digitize cultural heritage archives the Great Silk Road in the Republic of Uzbekistan and strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of preserving cultural heritage.

For reference: In the period from June 10 to June 30, 2021, JICA conducted research at the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan, the Museum of Archeology of Termez and archaeological sites near the city of Termez.
