Enhancing cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union in the trade, energy, transport, finance, and agriculture areas was discussed with the high-level European officials during the visit of Timur Suleimenov, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Erzhan Kazykhan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Special Representative of the President for International Cooperation, Kazinform cites the Akorda press service.
The high-level discussions included meetings with Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice-President and Commissioner for Trade, Adina Valean, the European Commissioner for Transport, Janusz Wojciechowski, the European Commissioner for Agriculture, as well as the leadership of the EU Directorate-General for Energy and the Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (FISMA). Talks were also held at the European Council and the European External Action Service.
