Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Magzum Mirzagaliyev met with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak. The parties noted the high level of cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
Magzum Mirzagaliyev and Alexander Novak discussed the issue of further supplies of Russian diesel fuel to Kazakhstan, which began this month and made it possible to quickly stabilize the situation in the domestic market and prevent the negative consequences of fuel shortages.
Magzum Mirzagaliyev also raised the topic of gasification of the North Kazakhstan and East Kazakhstan regions and invited the Russian side to take part in gas supplies on mutually acceptable terms. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stressed that the Russian government is ready to intensify the negotiation process on this issue.
