Consumer prices in Kazakhstan rose by 8.7 percent year-on-year in August after rising 8.4 percent in July, Statistics Committee said.

Monthly inflation in August was 0.5 percent, down from 0.7 percent in July. In January-August, annual inflation was 7.6 percent.

Kazakhstan’s National Bank projects annual inflation in a range of 4-6 percent in 2021.
