The Ministry of Health has developed a draft order to ban the export of medicines and medical devices for six months. As explained in the department, this is necessary to exclude a possible shortage in Kazakhstan due to the unstable geopolitical situation.
“In order to ensure drug safety, wide and unhindered access to medicines, as well as to eliminate possible risks of a shortage of medicines and medical devices in the domestic market of the country due to an unstable geopolitical situation, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed a draft order, which involves the introduction of a ban for the export of medicines and medical devices from the Republic of Kazakhstan for a period of 6 months,” the ministry’s website says.
In particular, Kazakhstan proposes to ban the export of medicines of any form, including pharmaceutical substances, medical devices, including prosthetic and orthopedic products and deaf devices, as well as materials and components for their production.
