The Pervomaisky District Court on December 24 found the former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Almazbek Baatyrbekov guilty of corruption. Information about this “Kloop” was confirmed in the press service of the court.
Baatyrbekov was fined 280 thousand soms. He was detained on June 9. He is being held in the Kumtor case as a suspect under the Corruption article.
As explained in the State Committee for National Security, the former deputy was detained on the basis of evidence obtained in the course of pre-trial proceedings.” Immediately after the arrest, the former deputy was taken to the Pervomaisky Court of Bishkek. The court ruled to detain him for the period of the investigation.
According to the Azattyk newspaper, in June 2021, Baatyrbekov made a deal with the investigation and after that he was released under house arrest.
