There is no possibility of sending Kyrgyz troops to Ukraine as part of the CSTO or peacekeeping forces, Security Council Secretary Marat Imankulov told AKIpress.
“There is no reason for the CSTO to intervene there now. As for the UN peacekeepers, let’s see how it will be. So far, there are no such plans,” he added.
The head of the Security Council believes that “the contractual process between Russia and Ukraine has entered an active phase.” Previously, the possibility of negotiations between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine was discussed both among the Russian and Ukrainian presidents.
“It is very hard for me to see that this is happening between our two friendly countries. Hope all this ends soon. I would also like Russia and Ukraine to come to an agreement and establish peace sooner. This is all I wish for,” Imankulov concluded.
