Aleksey Skraga has become the new head of the Belarusian Potash Company. Prior to that, he was the general director of the Belspetsvneshtechnika state enterprise, which is engaged in the export of weapons.

“You know the economy, you have come across this. It does not matter what product to sell – potash, equipment, weapons. Although I will tell you that now working on the potash market will be akin to trading in weapons and other special equipment. Everything should be quiet, calm,” Lukashenko said.

He put forward the “only requirement” to the new head – “honest work”:

“You will be constantly in sight. I’m warning you right now. And not only from my side. Here, you know, there are a lot of interested people in this area. You understand what is at stake.”
