Major malfunctions in the electricity supply system have been fixed, but the decline in gas production due to the blackout that happened yesterday does not yet allow the power plants to run at full capacity, the Energy Ministry said.
“Major malfunctions in the system have been eliminated, now the supply of electricity to the unified energy grid of the republic has begun. Due to malfunctions in the system, there are cases of disruption of technological processes at existing gas fields and oil refineries in the country. This, in turn, leads to a decrease in gas production,” the ministry said.
“As a result, thermal power plants experience a decrease in gas pressure, which negatively affects the volume of electricity generation. Therefore, at present, based on the existing production capacities, electricity is supplied to some regions of the country alternately.”
