The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan has passed a note of protest to the Ambassador of the United States of America from the Republic of Tajikistan.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, on September 14, 2021, the US Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. John Mark Pommersheim, was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.

A note of protest was conveyed to the US Ambassador in response to remarks by the President of the United States of America, Mr. Joe Biden, during his visit to the Pennsylvania Fire Department.

The note notes that such statements do not correspond to the spirit of friendly relations and partnership.

The Republic of Tajikistan is interested in developing mutually beneficial relations with the United States of America in the spirit of mutual support and mutual respect, the Foreign Ministry said.
